I know some other reviewers had a problem with Pagan not trusting Leif and always reminding him what a terrible being he is–seeing as how he really never did anything to hurt her–but I have to side with Pagan on this one. There was just so much more in this book: more explanations/background info, more romance, more heartbreak, more descriptions (I now know what Pagan, Dank, Leif, Jay, and Gee look like :D), and more lovely Dank moments. If Hell wants a piece of him too, then bring it on.This book was definitely better than the first. And he’s already proven he’ll defy Heaven to keep her. Dank knows saving Pagan’s soul won’t be easy but Pagan is his. Pagan’s soul has been marked since birth as a restitution, to a spirit so dark not even Death walks near it. Now, he realizes he made a grave mistake. But he hadn’t worried about a simple soulless creature.
